74. Turn a box into a cubby

The arrival of whitegoods in our house is a time of excitement. My children bustle in anticipation. They know what it means….cubby time.

Whitegoods typically arrive in large cardboard boxes. They are the perfect size to create a cubby house. With a little creativity (and great dexterity with a knife) windows and doors can be cut into the box. Armed with craft supplies your kidlets can go about decorating it.

Tonight, at my house, preparations are underway for a camp out. It may be in our lounge room, and they may be sleeping in a cardboard box but their imaginations are taking then to Africa and tonight they’re sleeping on the savannah.
