Circus Quirkus : A Contemporary Entertainment Spectacular

Last week we were blessed to receive 4 tickets from The Rotary Club of Bondi Junction to Circus Quirkus – www.circusquirkus.com.au. I was a little apprehensive about an evening out on a school night but quickly convinced myself that such experiences need to be snatched up when they come our way.

With the start time listed as 6.00 pm at Moore Park’s Hordern Pavillion we arrived a little earlier to find our seats. Only 4 rows from the front – awesome! As we moved closer to the start time, two men appeared in the crowd with the light on them. They introduced themselves as Guido and Georgie. They worked the crowds with their hilarious antics before building momentum for the opening act.

For just under two hours we were entertained by the most fabulous performers which included acrobats, jugglers, tightrope walkers, hula hoop dancers and contortionists. The kids were mesmerised from start to finish. School night? Blah? Even their school principal was in the audience!
