Every single day I am bombarded with the most delicious looking Gelato images as I scroll through my instagram thread. All of them are via the new gelato shop that has popped up in Newtown, a suburb that is not that far from my home. Last weekend it became too much and to calm me down T decided we would trek over for our Date Night. Hallelujah!
N2 Extreme Gelato is the most indulgent of all gelato places if you ask me. They don’t do lite or skinny or fat free. They’re all about enjoying the full flavoured joy of full cream milk and fresh cream that they source from local dairy farmers. They use real fruit and herbs and vegetables and what ever else they can grab.
The creation process is facinating. The N2 team blend up the ingredients in front of you and add Liquid nitrogen to rapidly cool it producing a super smooth gelato. Oh gosh – it’s amazing to watch.
When it comes to flavours you’ll never have an opportunity to get bored as they change regularly. We tried three: Deconstructed Chocolate Lava; Black Salted Caramel and Cookies & Cream. We will be going back for more….regularly.
Of course, we’ll be taking the kids next time!
