Today your kids have the chance to join the Flying Doctor Kids Club! Established back in 1928, the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) is one of Australia’s most iconic organisations. Each year alone, the RFDS attends to over 295,000 patients. That’s more than 800 patients every day! In the same year they perform around 37,000 aeromedical evacuations and conduct around 15,000 healthcare clinics. Pretty awesome, right?
For the last five years the Royal Flying Doctor Service has been voted as Australia’s most reputable charity, an impressive feat for this astonishing organisation that has brought aero-medical assistance and primary health care services to some of the most isolated parts of Australia. I’m so excited that, as of today, my kids are both members!
On the 26th of January, the Flying Doctors Kids Club was relaunched and will continue the tradition of sending club correspondence by mail. I think that’s so exciting! If you’re child is between 5 -12 years of age they must sign up. Their membership to the Flying Doctors Club will see annual birthday and Christmas cards sent to them individually in the main as well as regular newsletters full of lots of activities and snapshots of the everyday lives of Aussie kids living in remote parts of our country. You also get a great membership certificate. I love this idea so much!
That’s awesome – thanks for sharing Leah. My girls would love this!
You’re welcome! Sign them both up so they’re both members
