Sydney Experience Gift Guide for Kids and Teenagers

Christmas is almost upon us and with it the inevitable rush to find the perfect gift for those we love and care about. Those of you familiar with the Kid Bucket List will know that we are usually on the road over summer and have moved to gifting our children very simple items: something to wear, something to read, and something to experience. Each year I turn to RedBalloon for gift ideas and inspiration for the kids. This year is no exception. We’ve created the Sydney Experience Gift Guide for kids and teenagers to help us out.

This post is supported by RedBalloon who have helped us find numerous gift ideas for our family and friends this Christmas.

Sydney Experience Gift Guide for Kids

Every year I gift my niece and nephew a family experience. We’ve covered the zoo, museums and a number of other great experiences over the last few years so I am thankful that a number of new ideas have sprung up on RedBalloon. The RedBalloon Christmas Gift selection is brimming with ideas.

To help you find the perfect Christmas experience gift for the kids in your life I have searched through the RedBalloon database and found a bevy of activities for you and further categorised them into those under $100 and those over. I hope this helps you find the perfect experience!

Under $100

Each of these experiences is listed at under $100.00 per person. I have attempted to provide a blend of active activities and passive experiences to cover all interests.

Koala Encounter and Breakfast at WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo | Admission to TreeTop NetWorld

Learn to Skateboard – Kids Lesson |  Pick Your Own Sydney Attractions Pass

Kids Circus Workshop | High Ropes Climbing Course with Flying Foxes

2 Hour Kids Chocolate Workshop | Tall Ship Afternoon Discovery

Ninja Obstacle Course Entry | Kids Ski or Snowboard Simulator Session

Over $100

These experiences will set you back over $100 however they are group activities for both kids and parents. Fun!

Parent and Child Chocolate Making Class  | Bowling with Pizza, Chips and Drinks – Family

Sydney Experience Gift Guide for Teenagers

With my kids hitting the formidable tween/teen years finding engaging experiences that they will love has become a little trickier. They’re too old for indoor play gyms, but still too young to appreciate a degustation meal. Thankfully RedBalloon have a plethora of activities that I know will hit the mark with my kids. These are just some of what is available on the website, but largely the ones I think would suit Striker and Sunshine. I have categorised them into under $100, over $100 and then the big-ticket items which are more of a “wish list” at the moment.

And if Striker and Sunshine are reading this – yes, one of your gifts is listed….you just don’t know which one it is!

Under $100

Teenagers can be so tricky to buy for so finding a number of activities and experiences under $100 that don’t really need my presence is perfect. I know my kids would like any of these choices.

Drift Car Thrill Ride | Virtual Reality Escape Rooms

Double Kayak Hire in Manly | Escape Room Experience

Jet Boat Ride on Sydney Harbour | Sabre Fencing Class With All Equipment

F1 Racing Simulation Experience | Beginners Group Surfing Lesson at Bondi Beach

YXZ Yamaha Buggy – 3 Hot Laps | Indoor Flying Trapeze Class

Over $100

These experiences will cost over $100 per person but provide a lengthy experience for your teen.

Quad Bike Sand Dune Adventure  | Boeing 737-800 Flight Simulator

Learn to Sail in Sydney Harbour

Big Ticket Ideas

To be honest, I won’t be able to afford any of these for Christmas this year, but they are great ‘one day’ activities that we could save up for.

Hot Air Ballooning Over The Hunter Valley – For 2 | Learn to Fly a Helicopter

Jet Fighter Close Air Support Mission

We hope that this Sydney experience gift guide has helped you find an idea or two for the presents you are gifting this year.
