Whilst the internet has become an excellent resource for planning a trip, I still rely on hard-copy travel guides. I love the tactile experience and enjoy highlighting, bookmarking and creating footnotes for my guides. I have passed this creative process onto my kids, purchasing them their own guides to work through and plan their Bucket List ahead of our travels.
Lonely Planet Kids has been a go-to resource for our kids for over a decade. Their guides are engaging, and my two kids have always delighted in planning via one of the books we’ve purchased from their catalogue. I was super excited to discover their latest guides for kids.
Book Review: Lonely Planet Kid’s Guide to …
If you were to create a Kid Bucket List of destinations to visit with your kids, what would be your top cities to visit? I am sure that New York, Rome, Paris or London would appear on your list. This is why I am so excited about the new Lonely Planet Kid’s Guides for these four cities! They are a perfect introduction for the kids ahead of your dream holiday (I just wish they had included a Tokyo guide as well).
Each guide features information that will quickly endear your kids to the city whilst orienting them to what they are likely to encounter on their trip. They also include some cool facts, glossy photos, and some ‘what’s the difference?’ challenges.
