When the week rolls over and the weekend arrives there can be a certain satisfaction discovering your calendar is empty. Perhaps you take the opportunity to relax in your garden, read a new book or catch up on housework.
Faced with a weekend without plans, my kids spent Saturday playing in the backyard with the neighbours. That evening I had itchy feet and started brainstorming ideas for the following day. T and I wrote down a few spots we could head the next day. We were unable to come to a consensus so agreed to let the kids decide from our selection in the morning.
Out voted, I found myself hopping into the car Sunday morning with the family and heading to what I expected to be a day of dazzling lights and loud noises. I was pleasantly surprised to discover a venue that continued to keep the kids occupied for over our scheduled time with plenty of space for parents to relax. Fancy that!
AttracTivity Entertainment is the largest entertainment complex catering for kids short of a theme park that I think I’ve been to here in Australia. It features Dodgem Cars, Bowling, a Rope Course, a Laser Maze, Laser Skirmish, an Arcade, a Shooting Gallery and an XD theatre. It also has both a bar, cafe and party rooms. It is amazing!
Whilst admission is free and you can pay for each attraction individually, there are three packages available that decreases the overall cost. These start at $20.00 per person. As it was our first visit, we decided to try the one hour package that gave us unlimited access to five of the attractions. We paid an extra $5.00 to add a game of bowling to our visit. The kids were given their cards and set off to choose their preference of attractions.
Whilst they did enjoy the Dodgem cars, laser maze and bowling, I was incredibly surprised to find that the ropes course was the favoured activity. Up until our visit at AttracTivity Entertainment, Master R has flatly refused to even consider putting a harness on let alone climb the initial ladder to the ropes. Both T and I pinched ourselves, held our breath and watched as he headed to the front of the line unprompted. With Miss N behind, he tried every single obstacle! How about that!
For lunch, we ate at the onsite cafe: Munchery Urban Eatery. They have a handful of choices on the $10.00 Kids Menu plus and great range of options for parents.
AttracTivity Entertainment can be found within Sydney Corporate Park at 2A/160 Bourke Road, Alexandria, Sydney. Opening hours vary throughout the week but the site is open every day. They even have party rooms!
Oh and about my initial reservations about AttracTivity Entertainment, whilst it was fairly jam packed with kids, I didn’t really notice the noise. Tick, tick, tick.
Hi,
We would like to book a 2 hours party on 30/9/18, would you send me a package deal for me.
Best Regards,
Ivy
Hi Ivy. You will need to contact Archie’s (they’ve changed their name) directly. We are not a booking service
