Liverpool has a new playground and it certainly one of the most impressive in Sydney to date! The new Casula Parklands Adventure Playspace is Sydney’s newest playground, featuring five main areas and a range of activities to suit a full spectrum of ages and abilities. It spans over 15 hectares on the banks of the Georges River making it quite an expansive place for the kids to stretch their legs.

Ninja Exercise Course
For kids who love stretching themselves and working against the clock to complete a circuit, they are going to love the Ninja Exercise course at Sydney’s newest playground. The obstacle course features a climbing wall and net, jumping pods, hurdles, balancing bars, monkey bars and more.
The ninja exercise course includes signage to illustrate how each obstacle should be completed, but when with kids they are certain to come up with their own ways!
Double Flying Fox
The flying fox space features a double cable length providing more opportunity to experience this popular treat. Sadly, it doesn’t feature an accessible seat like some other playgrounds, so it only suitable for kids who can balance on the small seat.
Big Kids Play Area
The Big Kids play area features a super tall, eight metre high Sky Walk. At one end is a rope climbing structure which kids can use to climb up into the Sky Walk. The Sky Wak itself features passageways made of swinging rope. At the other end of the Sky Walk is a giant slide, the quickest way back down to the ground.
Within this space, you can also find some large net swings, traditional swings, a spinning supernova, and an accessible carousel.
Small Kids Play Area
Protected by a large shade sail, the smaller kids play area is right next to the big kids play space and features a great play zone where preschoolers and toddlers can climb, slide and explore.
Fenced Dog Park
Whilst we haven’t brought our dog along to Casula Parklands Adventure playground we have promised to do so at some point as it looked fabulous. There are two fenced dog parks in all, one for small dogs and one for large dogs which makes us confident in taking our wee little one without fear of him getting hurt by bigger, boisterous dogs.
Parking at the Playground
The Casula Parklands Adventure is very popular right now as it is currently the best park in the area. There is parking along the park side of the Powerhouse Road and whilst it is plentiful, it isn’t coping with the weekend traffic and popularity of Sydney’s newest playground. I noted on my visit that many families were parking on the grass so they could enjoy the park. Arrive early to nab yourself a park.
Toilet Area
The toilet area separates the play areas from the ninja exercise area. It has both male and female toilets as well as an accessible toilet and baby change facilities.
Scattered around the park are a number of water stations where you can refill your water bottle with filtered water. I love that this has been incorporated into the parks footprint.
Getting to Casula Parklands Adventure Playspace
Casula Parklands Adventure Playground is located on Powerhouse Road Casula with access via Shepherd Street, Liverpool. If using public transport, take the train to Casula Station. The Casula Powerhouse is around 100 metres from the station so it’s not a far walk.
